Ennio Morricone - The Big Gundown lp

This is a superb soundtrack by the consistently astonishing Ennio Morricone. Whether he's soundtracking Spaghetti Westerns, obscure European horror or Italian Porn he can't seem to do wrong. This falls under the Spaghetti Western genre and does have one or two similarities to the Good, the Bad and the Ugly - doesn't stop it being great though. I'd quite like to see the Lee Van Cleef film to see if it lives up to the music - pretty tricky task if you ask me.

I saw Ennio Morricone a couple of years gao with full choir and it blew my socks off. He played it safe with more familar stuff (alas nothing from the devilsih Escalation score) but hearing Ecstacy of Gold was a life affirming moment. Or something...
